A.R.T and EMDR

We offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which is a form of psychotherapy with roots in existing therapies, but has shown to achieve benefits much more rapidly (generally within 1-5 sessions). It is recognized as a peer reviewed evidence-based treatment for psychological trauma, developed to treat children and adults. ART is also approved by the Department of Defense for veterans suffering from PTSD.

Developed by Laney Rosenzweig in 2008, ART utilizes unique visualization techniques and the body’s reaction to distressing images or memories to enhance rapid eye movements. The power of eye movements allows for voluntary changes in the mind. Rosenzweig shares that “the most difficult aspect of discussing ART is the fact that it sounds too good to be true.”

We also offer EMDR. Both of these therapies help clients suffering with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, substance abuse, phobias, and many other mental and physical conditions, experience remarkable benefits starting in the first session.

The reprogramming of distressing images and memories in the brain aid the amygdala and hippocampus to rid the body of emotional reactions to traumas which have been stored in your brain. Our brains are capable of positively modifying unwanted material.
